Cosima Prahm, MSc, BA, is currently completing her PhD in clinical neuroscience at the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, with a focus on biomedical engineering and medical informatics. Her research interests are highly interdisciplinary and are situated at the intersection of clinical research and technology, including human-computer interfaces, advanced prosthesis control, virtual reality, game design and rehabilitation systems for upper limb amputees and nerve injuries. Cosima also lectures in biomedical engineering at the Medical University of Vienna, at the University of Applied Sciences Campus Vienna and at TU Wien. In 2018 she founded PlayBionic to create an infrastructure that bridges creative work, technical development and clinical validation in games for health.
