Executive Producer at The Global Game Jam
Giselle is a long-standing games community leader and advocate in Australia. She has run IGDA Melbourne for eight years which holds frequent events to support and connect emerging games practitioners. Giselle has been active in the Global Game Jam community in various roles since 2011, including the Executive Director of Global Game 2016 and 2017. She works in the industry as the Business Administrator at Hipster Whale, developers of the worldwide smash hit mobile game, Crossy Road.
Her dedication to the games community has lead her to be nominated for Ambassador of the Year for the Microsoft Women in Gaming Awards, alongside industry titans Robin Hunicke and Anita Sarkeesian. Many of her initiatives, such as the Woman in Games program for Melbourne International Games week, have fostered diversity across games and many other digital industries.
In 2014, she received an Ambassador Award nomination at the Microsoft Women in Games Awards and won Women of the Year at the MCV Pacific Women in Games awards in 2015 and 2016. This year, Giselle received the XBOX ANZ Shining Star award for her continued support of emerging and established game practitioners.
