Senior User Experience Researcher at Electronic Arts (EA)
I am a Sr Games User Researcher, working in the User Experience Research (UXR) group at EA Canada. I've led research on a wide variety of games at EA, including Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, FIFA Ultimate Team, various Battlefield projects, FIFA, NHL, UFC, web/mobile projects, unannounced titles, and have collaborated on other research. I start working with teams in pre-production, providing planning support, concept testing, and heuristic evaluations, and stop when they physically chase me out of their offices. So far, so good.
My specialties are in qualitative evaluation and usability studies, with a focus on providing actionable feedback to game teams about the entirety of their user experience. Gameplay, menus, engagement loops, monetization strategies, on whatever platform our game teams are using. I utilize a wide variety of methodologies and tools - 1-on-1 usability studies, heuristic evaluations, group playtests (gameplay, longitudinal/attitudinal surveys, etc), best practices reviews, paper prototyping, concept testing, eye-tracking, competitive analysis, A/B testing.. whatever provides the best data.
